The raw food diet means eating uncooked, whole plant based, and ideally organic foods. It can include any diet of primarily food which is not heated or food that is cooked in 40 degree Celsius to 46 degree Celsius. Those who depend on a raw food diet are also known as raw Foodists.

The raw food diet generally includes beans, dried fruits, freshly made fruits and vegetable juices, fresh fruits and vegetables, grains, milk from a young coconut, nuts, purified water, seaweeds, seeds, sun dried fruits and depending on the lifestyle eggs, fish, meat, milk and dairy product may also be included.

There are four types of raw foodist, 1stand significant proportion of raw Foodists are vegans those who don’t eat foods of animal origin, 2ndare vegetarians those who consume only raw animal products, 3rdare raw omnivores those who eat both plant based and animal based foods are mainly consumed raw and the 4th are raw carnivores those who consume raw meat products

They also believe that a raw food diet enhances our body’s ability to prevent as well as fight diseases, especially chronic diseases. They saysthet raw and living foods contain essential food enzymes that are destroyed if the food is heated to above 116 Fahrenheit. Raw food includes bacteria and many other micro-organisms which affect the immune system and digestion by populating the digestive tract with beneficial gut flora, raw foods also have higher nutrient values than foods which have been cooked. They believe that raw foods are the only ideal food for human beings and the basis of a raw food lifestyle but of cause irritants or stimulants like coffee,tobacco and alcohol are not recommended. As we know that wild foods followed by organic whole foods are more nutritious than conventionally domesticated or industrially foods. Raw food like fruits and vegetables are high in antioxidants and the also believe that it can help to stifle signs of aging. And many more benefits are there in consuming raw food like increase energy, clear skin etc.


And to talk a little about cooking food is it has many negative effects. Some raw foodistssays that cooked food is toxic and even poisonous. Cooking for long periods can damage some vitamins. Boiling as well as steaming can also take out some vitamins and minerals from the foods. When a food is burned or oils are heated above the point at which they smoke can cause cancer and deep frying foods trans fats to form. And many more disadvantages are there.
